2022 Domaine Glinavos 'Paleokerisio'
2022 Domaine Glinavos 'Paleokerisio'
Size: 500ml
Grape: Debina and Vlahiko
Producer: Domaine Glinavos was established in 1978 by Lefteris Glinavos, one of Greece’s first oenologists, and is today run by his son Thomas Glinavos.
Region: Epirus in Greece’s northwest corner
In the cellar: The de-stemmed grapes remain in oak casks during fermentation for about 12 days. When the temperature starts falling, the first decanting takes place and 2-3 other decanting procedures follow up, during the fall season. Second fermentation occurs in closed tanks.
Farming method: Organic
Tasting notes: This semi-sparkling is bottled in an adorable 500ml bottle with a cap crown, paying homage to the traditional semi-sparkling wine of Ioannina. The color of cantaloupe with aromas of kumquats, and notes of olives and citrus. The slightest bitter twinge on the finish. This is a perfect wine for sour beer and funky pét-nat aficionados!
