2022 Roses de Jeanne, Côte de Val Vilaine 'VV/R22' Blanc du Noirs (Cédric Bouchard)
Size: 750 ml
Grape: Pinot Noir (Label decoder: VV/R22 = Val Vilaine / recolte (harvest) 2022)
Producer: Cédric Bouchard, a revolutionary winemaker in Champagne, produces single varietal, single vineyard, single vintage wines with no dosage under his “Roses de Jeanne” label
Region: Côte des Bar in Aube, Champagne
In the cellar: Crafted from 40-year-old Pinot Noir vines, this wine undergoes 15-16 months sur lies aging. Only first pressings are used, with wild yeast fermentation. Bottled at 4.5 atmospheres for softer bubbles and zero dosage. Stainless steel aging enhances its bright, vinous character.
Farming method: Organic farming across 3 hectares. All wines are single-site, single-variety, and single-vintage.
Tasting notes: Harmonious and elegant. A golden pear hue leads to aromas of sweet citrus. On the palate, bright and precise with a dry, slightly lemony, and long finish.
