Size: 750ml (16% ABV)
Grape: 70%, Rondinella 15%, Corvinone 10%, Molinara 5%
Producer: Husband and wife team, Gabriele and Miriam Dalcanale
Region: Veneto, Italy (in the heart of Valpolicella Classico, precisely in the town of Valpantena)
In the cellar: Grapes are dried in fruit cellars for 100 days with a resulting weight loss of 40%, then alcoholic fermentation in steel and large wooden barrel at controlled temperature for 30 days. Aged in barrique and tonneau for 14 months and an additional 18 months in large barrels.
Farming method: Certified organic; vines are grown on Veronese pergola upon clay soils with white limestone structures
Tasting notes: Aromas of ripe cherries and dried figs. Finish is deep and elegant with a silky and robust mouthfeel. For a decadent meal, pair this Amarone with grilled steak topped with a bit of Roquefort blue cheese!
