Jamie Mongomery and Tim Griffrey produced Montgomery’s Cheddar for years as their primary product, and Ogleshield was always a delicious side project. In fact, they spent ten years developing the cheese and refining the recipe before finally deciding it was time to debut it in the market. Their patience and hard work is apparent in Ogleshield’s beautiful, even rind, smooth texture, and complex flavor. Out from Monty’s prodigious shadow, Oglshield has gained the popularity it deserves and it remains a favorite of ours and our customers!

Ogleshield seems mellow at first, especially cold, so let it warm up to room temperature if you can. Then, enjoy the full complexity of grilled chicken broth, sesame, and roasted broccoli. Melt it on a chicken sandwich or eat it in pieces with a yeasty saison.
