Size: 750 ml
Grape: Pinot Noir
Producer: Willy Roulendes
Region: Burgundy, France, specifically from the village Auxey-Duresses, which has been farmed for wine since 962. It was farmed by both the monks from Abbey of Cluny & Abbey of Citeaux. (‘Moulin aux Moines’ translates to Mill of the Monks.) The domaine today spans 15 hectares, extending from Pernand-Vergelesses to Corpeau, a village in the south of Puligny-Montrachet.
In the cellar: After being picked by hand these grapes were fermented for around twenty days and aged in barrels for 20-22 months. 10-20% new wood is used. Wine is bottled in the village of Auxey-Duresses, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune.
Farming method: Biodynamic
Tasting notes: A richly texture wave of peppercorns and crunchy raspberry fruit. Drink now or age for 2-5 years.
