Size: 750 ml
Grape:
51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, and 6% Cabernet Franc
Producer:
Jean-Philippe Delmas
Region:
Situated in the appellation of Graves within the region Bordeaux, France; today many people consider Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion as a “sixth 1855 First Growth”
In the cellar: Aged in 72% new oak, the rest in French and neural barrel
Farming method:
Organic/Sustainable; Situated on uniquely stony soil, the vineyard area extends 21 hectares between areas in Pessac and Léognan
Tasting notes:
Elegant notes of tobacco, truffles, plums, ripe black cherries, and exotic spices. Medium to full-bodied with beautiful concentration, sweet tannins, and a joy to drink. Age worthy through the year 2038. One of the best 2008s out there.
