2017 Anne-Sophie Dubois ‘Les Cocottes’ (Burgundy, France) | Grape: Gamay | What’s November without Beaujolais? There isn’t anything quite like Beaujolais, especially when it’s made by Anne-Sophie Dubois. Anne-Sophie grew up in Champagne, France and seized the opportunity to purchase an 8-hectare plot of Gamay vines in Fleurie. This organic Gamay is fermented in whole clusters and undergoes carbonic maceration that leaves the wine light and oh-so-fresh! Anne-Sophie is also an artist and drew this label herself; she used herself and her friends (Les Cocottes aka (The Chicks) as ‘models.’ | Pair with roasted chicken (of course) and earthy root vegetables like roasted beets, carrots and heirloom squash.

NV Caneva da Nani (Veneto, Italy) | Grape: Glera | Our house Prosecco! The Canello family has been growing grapes for five generations. 'Nani' is Nonno (Grandpa) Giovanni’s nickname; 'Caneva' is Venetian dialect for 'shady spot to sit and drink wine'. Easy bubbles and dry with tropical notes. | Pair with a healthy chunk of Cravero Parmigiano Reggiano drizzled with wildflower honey, at the beginning of the meal or at the end for a palate cleanser.

2017 Neil Ellis ‘Sincerely' (Stellenbosch, South Africa) | Grape: Sauvignon Blanc | Neil Ellis has produced wine down in Stellenbosch for four decades but has recently based the wine baton to his kids, Warren and Margot. The juice is settled for three days, fermented in stainless steel tanks, and aged on its lees for three months before bottling. The end result is a classic New World Sauvignon Blanc: its full of extroverted grassiness, grapefruit, and guava notes. | Pair with Capri, a delightful goat’s milk cheese from Westfield Farm in Hubbardston, Massachusetts.

2016 Domaine les Ondines, Vaucluse (Rhône Valley, France) | Grape: Syrah | Domaine Les Ondines is situated in the village of Sarrians in the heart of the Vacqueyras appellation in the Southern Rhône. The Onde family farms all organically and own a total of 30 hectares. JérémyOndeis the first generation to make and bottle wine at their estate, as they were previously selling their grapes to other winemakers. Note the refreshing notes of plum, dark cherry and pepper in this easy drinking Syrah. | Pair with an autumnal beef stew filled with hearty vegetables.

2017 Grochau Cellars ‘Commuter Cuvée’ (Oregon, USA) | Grape: Pinot Noir | Solid juice from organic Oregonian winemaker John Grochau. Filled with tasty black cherry notes, raspberry jam and a violet lift on the finish, this is an Oregon Pinot for all palates. Classic flavors of Pinot Noir including mushrooms, cedar, fall leaves. | Pair with a hearty sandwich such as a warm ciabatta stuffed with Prosciutto di Parma, arugula, candied onions, and fig and balsamic jam.

2016 Sottimano ‘Maté’ Brachetto (Piedmont, Italy) | Grape: Brachetto | Single-parcel dry Brachetto for the win! The Maté vineyard is a little (1.1 hectare) plot of 40+ year old Brachetto vines in the zone of Treiso in Piedmont, Italy. Intense aromas of strawberries, fresh roses, and dried herbs. Ruby color, light bodied, vibrant acidity, and refreshing. | This is the ultimate pizza wine! Pair with a classic Margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil, and don’t forget the red pepper flakes!

Bottom row (left to right):

2012 Mauro-Guicheney, Côtes de Duras Rouge AOP (Bordeaux, France) | Grape: Merlot | In the rolling hills of southern France, Corine and Didier Mauro-Guicheney, along with their son Audric, cultivate 30 hectares of (mostly)Merlot vines with passion, precision and certified organic farming. Deep and dark cherry-fueled aromas with notes of cloves and cinnamon. A warming fall Bordeaux to sip by the roaring fire. | Pair with braised pork shoulder and rosemary smashed potatoes.

2017 Carminucci, ‘Grotte sul Mare’ Rosso Piceno (Marche, Italy) | Grapes: Montepulciano, Sangiovese | Grotte sul Mare (sea caves) has an intense brick red color, and aromas of red cherries, black olives, and rosemary. This is a blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese grapes from the eastern coast of Italy in the Marche. Grapes are hand-harvested and aged in stainless steel tanks. No oak. A great alternative to a Chianti. | Pair with spicy or sweet sausage sautéed with broccoli rabe.

2015 Parés Baltà, Mas Petit (Catalonia, Spain) | Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha | Parés Baltà is a family owned winery in the Penedès region of Spain with a history dating back to 1790. Today, Parés Balta is run by winemakers (and sister-in-laws) Marta and Maria Elena. All vineyards on the estate are farmed organically and situated up to 2400 feet above sea level! The close proximity of the Mediterranean Sea is another positive environmental influence for the vines. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape in this red blend imparts full tannins and woodsy notes, while the Garnacha grape brings out flavors of wild raspberries. | Pair with a hearty stew or soup like minestrone or Zuppa di Ceci (chickpea soup).

2017 Domaine de La Chapelle Saint Victor Rosé (Provence, France) | Grapes: Cinsault, Syrah | Named after Saint Victor abbey in Provence, Domaine de la Chapelle is located on the south side of the Costes Lambesc mountain range and has been in the Lefévre family for over ten years. This organic vineyard has 20 hectares of AOP Coteaux d'Aix en Provence wine grapes grown atop beds of sandy, loam soil and 2 additional hectares of olives. | Fruity, but dry, try pairing this fresh rosé with the traditional Lebanese salad, Fattoush, which is a simple salad of coarsely chopped vegetables and herbs, toasted pita, and a sweet and tangy vinaigrette.

2017 Palazzone ‘Vignarco’ Orvieto Classico (Umbria, Italy) | Grapes: Procanico, Grechetto | Purchased in 1969 by the Dubini family, the Palazzone vineyard was named after its historic palace, which was constructed in the 1300’s. Today, the palace is a boutique hotel overlooking the exquisite town of Orvieto and surrounded by vines of Procanico, Grechetto, Verdello and Malavasia grapes grown at 340 meters above sea level. Palazzone is practicing organic and their ‘Vignarco’ white blend has notes of lime, citrus, herbs, and kiwi. | Pair this fresh white wine with butternut squash soup, garnished with crème fraiche and fresh sage leaves.

2016 Domaine Jean Vullien, Mondeuse Cru Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte (Savoy, France) | Grape: Mondeuse | A complex and floral red made from 100% Mondeuse. Bottled without filtration and aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Reminiscent of Beaujolais, this fruity red is light and juicy with bright acidity. Notes of grapefruit pith, tangerine, and a hint of flinty gunpowder. | Pair with your Thanksgiving turkey spread! This wine is begging for some ‘gobble, gobble,’ roasted carrots, and a side of fennel salad.
