NV Digby Fine English, Leander Pink Brut | England has wine too! And some of the best bubbles around. This Digby Fine English sparkling wine is made from the grapes of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier, the three main grape varieties that grow in the region of Champagne. Inspired by the life of the 17th Century philosopher and ‘father of the modern wine bottle’, Sir Kenelm Digby, the ‘Digby Fine English’ rosé bubbly is full of Brit charm with aromas of red apples and crème  fraîche. What a delight!

2016 Tinc Set ‘Mas Candi’ (Catalonia, Spain) | In 2006, biodynamic winemakers, and husband/wife team, Ramón Jané and Mercé Cuscó, as well as their best friend/oenologist, Toni Carbó, defied 500 years of family tradition by choosing to vinify and bottle their own grapes instead of selling them off too larger Cava producers. The result is spectacular! This blend of Xarel-lo and Parellada grew where in calcareous clay soil where the soil is purposefully not tilled. The grapes were manually harvested and then fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts. This is our house Cava and is as crisp as the biting December air with fresh notes of citrus and grapefruit.

2016 Bow & Arrow Gamay, Walnut Ridge Vineyard  (Oregon, USA) | The urban winery of Bow & Arrow is run by Scott Frank and his natural wine expert/rock star sommelier partner Dana Scott in Portland, Oregon. Their gorgeous Gamay is a raspberry-fueled gem of chewy goodness that was inspired by Loire-grown Gamay grapes in Anjou and Saumur. These Gamay grapes are grown in the Walnut Ridge Vineyard on Bellpine soil and undergoes semi-carbonic maceration in a concrete vat. Bright, happy, pair with duck confit.

2016 Ciro Picariello, Fiano di Avellino (Campania, Italy) | Down in southern Italy in the beautiful, rustic region of Campania, Ciro Picariello tends his vineyards along with wife, Rita, and their children Emma and Bruno. This stunning Fiano was fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in stainless steel. While delicious now, this wine with its stony body, citrus notes and ripe acidity can easily age for a decade! We’ll also have magnums (1.5 Liters) of Ciro’s Fiano di Avellino 906 available for purchase, which is a stunning single vineyard Fiano Fiano di Avellino '906' is a single vineyard bottling from Summonte, which is the higher of the two communes where Picariello's grapes come from and located at 650 meters above sea level.

2015 Dominique Cornin Pouilly-Fuissé (Burgundy, France) | This Pouilly-Fuissé is a classic, rich, juicy glass of unctuous Chardonnay from biodynamic winemaker Dominique Cornin, who was recently joined by his son Romain in the cellar. After fermentation in stainless steel the wine is aged on its lees between 11-18 months and has notes of lemon squares, melted butter, and orange zest.

2015 Domaine Morey-Coffinet Rouge (Burgundy, France) | Michael and Fabienne Morey began Domaine Morey-Coffinet in the late 1970’s where nowadays Michael’s son, Thibault, joins them in the cellar. This plush pillow of Pinot Noir was grown on a 1-hectare plot in a village of Chassagne from 50 year old vines. It has a silky texture and notes of wet leaves, wild cherries, and strawberries. It’s delightful with pork and roasted veggies. The 2015 was stunning too. This Burgundy can be aged for years to come, but it’s also ready to drink right now. Pop it!

2016 Domaine Font du Vent, Famille Gonnet, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Tradition (Rhône Valley, France) | (The CdP is not pictured, but it’ll be at the tasting!) This stunning red blend of, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and the rest an unknown field blend is made by Bertrand and Guillaume Gonnet. It just checks off every box when it comes to the ideal Châteauneuf-du-Pape – earthy, plush, decadent, smooth, inky, and warming. You can definitely taste the warmth of the oak in this comforting blend. It has silky tannins and notes of pomegranate, raisins, and plums.  Enjoy this meditative wine with slow cooked meats or roasted lamb and mashed potatoes.
