Kate from Charles River Wine Co. is joining us for an awesome holiday wine tasting featuring natural and organic wines from New York, Oregon, and California. Come join in on the holiday fun. Try before you buy!

2017 Boundry Breaks Riesling (Finger Lakes, New York) | This organic, sweet Riesling comes from winemakers Diana Lyttle and Bruce Murray who credit their close proximity to Seneca Lake for the crispness and depth of their wines. This rockstar Riesling has notes of candied lemon and peaches. Let the acidity wash over you and melt you away.

2015 Day ‘Belle Pente’ Chardonnay Yamhill Carlton (Oregon, USA) | ‘Devoted’ is a fitting adjective to describe Brianne Day. In 2006 Brianne sold all of her belongings and spent the next 8 years traveling around the world visiting and working at wineries. In 8 years she traveled to 80 different wine regions throughout the world! Brianne now operates her own winery while being a single parent – what a woman! Her ‘Belle Pente’ Chardonnay spends 18 months in barrel before being racked into stainless steel. This stunner is filled with notes of raw honey, apricot, and vanilla.

2016 Donkey & Goat Linda Vista Napa Chardonnay (California, USA) | Here’s another wonder from California winemaking gurus Jared and Tracey Brandt! Their Linda Vista Chardonnay was grown on alluvial soil and aged in French oak barrels for 8 months. This is a round and voluptuous Chardonnay with blossoming notes of pineapple, pear, and green apple.

2016 The Withers Counoise El Dorado (California, USA) | Andrew Tow’s winery was named The Withers, an equestrian term, to pay homage to his wife’s passion for horses. The horse on all their labels is a strong pony named Mr. Burgess! This Counoise has just a touch of Mourvedre and was fermented in used French oak barrels for 18 months. It’s a tart silky mouthful of dried strawberries, blackberries, and spice.

2015 Mourvèdre The Prospector, El Dorado (California, USA) | ‘The Prospector’ hails from gold rush country in California and pays tribute to the hardworking hopefuls who traveled out West all in the name of gold and adventure. It is 95% Mourvèdre with dashes of Grenache and Syrah thrown in. Grapes were grown on loam soil and 35% of the grapes were fermented whole cluster (skins, pips, and all). After spending 14 days in concrete vats, this robust wine was then aged for 9 months in neutral French Oak barrels. This red beauty is filled with notes of dusty earth, dried violets, and mushrooms.
