Meet the Winemaker: Stefano Menti w/ Mise Wines

Stefano Menti is pouring his wines tomorrow at the shop in all his Garganega glory! The Menti Winery was founded at the end of the 19th century in Gambellara, Italy in the Veneto region. Today, Giovanni Menti and his son, Stefano, cultivate 7.5 hectares of a grape called Garganega (pronounced: ‘gahr-GAH-neh-gah’ – it sounds like an Italian superhero!) and Durella vines in Gambellara and Lessini. All farming is organic, using biodynamic and natural methods in and out of the cellar. The wines are inoculated with all natural yeasts to preserve their inherent pureness, and bottled in transparent bottles to enhance color and taste. Stefano is pouring his sparkling Garganega, as well as his still Garganega and we’ll be pairing his delicious, rustic, fresh wines with some Italian cheeses to boot! Free to public! Venite tutti!
